Description
FORMATION is looking for people to help us add AI features to our product. Like everybody else, we have been amazed by what is now possible with things like Chat-GPT, stable diffusion, and related technologies. And we see a clear added value for integrating such features in our product.
Your tasks
- Help us experiment with and bring to market AI features in our product.
- Work on our product.
Examples of AI features we are interested in
- Use your skills to add optical character recognition, object recognition, and similar features in our APP
- Integrate third party AI services to add translations and text to speech to our app.
- Help us experiment with multi lingual semantic search.
Your profile
- You can communicate effectively in English (our working language).
- You have a background in AI or image processing
- You can implement solutions and deliver clean, maintainable code.
- You are a quick study and able to learn what you don’t know in order to do your job (languages, algorithms, technologies, etc.). We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything. Your ability to learn is what we value.
- You have or are completing a master degree in computer science or related field.
- You have experience working with common web development tech stacks. Both server side and client side.
- You are based in Berlin or able to come here for a few months to work on site.
Our tech stack
Familiarity with our tech stack is not required for this job. But it helps. We use Kotlin in our front and backend. Of course, Kotlin is less common for AI related features and we expect you will have your own preferred libraries, tools, and languages. This is not a problem as long as we can integrate your work.
For some features we are looking at using Web Assembly to integrate them in our front end. Particularly for image related features, we are very interested in adapting existing libraries and native code for this.
We presented out tech stack last year in the Virtual Kotlin User Group. So, if you want to get a sneak peak at who we are and what we do, watching that is a good start.
